Product Description

The KENNAMETAL 6676530 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built to the H1TE series specification, it features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and a 2.25 inch length of cut. The 5 inch overall length and 3/4 inch Weldon flat shank provide rigid tool holding in standard end mill holders. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating delivers thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators working in production machining environments.

The 6676530 is suited for both roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC machining center spindles. The 36-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action across the supported material range. It is compatible with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems as specified by the manufacturer.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully in the holder and tighten the set screw against the flat to resist axial pullout. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, and confirm that spindle speed and feed rate are within the ranges recommended in the KENNAMETAL H1TE series application data.
