The KENNAMETAL 6676518 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built to the H1TE series specification, it features a 5/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 36-degree helix angle. The AlTiN (PVD) coating provides heat and wear resistance during high-speed cutting. With a 2.25 inch length of cut and a 5 inch overall length, this is a long-length configuration suited to deeper reach requirements. It is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry, and is ground from submicron carbide grade for edge integrity at elevated cutting temperatures.
This end mill is engineered for roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The Weldon flat shank provides secure tool holding in set-screw style chucks and tool holders including EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A adapters. The long flute configuration makes it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and deep-pocket work where a standard-length tool cannot reach. It is suited to CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and tool and die professionals working in production or job-shop environments.
Compatible with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A tool holders. Designed for use on materials coded P (Steel), M (Stainless Steel), K (Cast Iron), S (Superalloys and Titanium), and H (Hard Material). Accepts standard 5/8 inch Weldon flat shank tool holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the tool holder manufacturer torque and runout specifications. Ensure the Weldon flat is fully seated against the set screw before tightening to prevent axial pullout under cutting loads. Inspect the collet or chuck bore for wear or contamination before mounting. Confirm spindle direction and feed-rate parameters in the CNC program match right-hand cutting before initiating a cut.
