The KENNAMETAL 6676514 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built to the H1TE series specification, it features a 5/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration and extends tool life at part corners. The AlTiN PVD coating provides heat and oxidation resistance, making this end mill well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting conditions at elevated speeds. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes and a centercutting geometry, it handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. A Weldon flat shank provides positive drive and reduces slippage under heavy chip loads.
This end mill is intended for machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. Its primary workpiece material range includes steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials - covering ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. The short flute length-to-diameter ratio and submicron carbide grade make it a reliable choice for side milling, slotting, and profiling on vertical machining centers and horizontal mills where rigidity and surface finish consistency are priorities.
Designed for use with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems as specified by the manufacturer. Fits standard 5/8 inch end mill holders and collet chucks accepting a Weldon flat shank. Suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per KENNAMETAL H1TE series application guidelines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from its holder. Seat the Weldon flat fully into the holder bore and secure the set screw against the flat to prevent axial pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts, as excessive runout accelerates coating wear and reduces corner radius accuracy.
