The KENNAMETAL 6676495 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding metal removal in production machining environments. Measuring 0.5 inches in diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius, this single-end tool runs a 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 36-degree helix angle. The length of cut is 0.63 inches and the overall length is 2.5 inches. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides high heat resistance and wear life at elevated cutting speeds. The H1TE series designation reflects a short-length, Weldon flat shank design suited to rigid toolholding setups. This end mill handles both roughing and finishing passes and is centercutting, allowing plunge entry where the operation requires it.
The 6676495 is designed for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is well suited to mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and general production turning where corner radius geometry is needed to reduce stress concentration and improve surface finish at part shoulders.
