The KENNAMETAL 6676469 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in metalworking applications. It carries a 1-inch cutting diameter with a 0.0300-inch corner radius, a 2.25-inch length of cut, and a 5-inch overall length. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 36-degree helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. An AlTiN PVD coating adds thermal resistance and extends tool life when cutting hard and abrasive workpiece materials. The 1-inch straight cylindrical shank provides secure clamping in standard toolholders. This tool is appropriate for both roughing and finishing operations and is handled by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The H1TE series submicron carbide grade and AlTiN coating make it well matched to high-speed, high-temperature cutting environments typical of aerospace, die-mold, and precision part manufacturing. The centercutting design permits plunge entry, adding flexibility in complex machining routines. Compatible toolholding interfaces include HC-HSK Form A, HC-CV Form AD, and ER single angle standard collets.
Compatible with HC-HSK Form A, HC-CV Form AD, and ER single angle standard collet toolholding systems. Designed for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials in CNC milling applications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the shank is clean and seated fully in the collet or toolholder before tightening to the toolholder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before first use, as excessive runout accelerates corner wear on end mills of this geometry. Consult the machine tool manufacturer and applicable shop standards for feed, speed, and depth-of-cut parameters when setting up this tool for a new application.
