The KENNAMETAL 6676386 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 3/8-inch diameter with a 0.015-inch corner radius, 4 right-hand spiral flutes, and a 1-inch length of cut. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating delivers high-temperature hardness and oxidation resistance, making it well suited for dry or high-speed cutting. The submicron carbide grade provides the toughness and wear resistance needed in production environments. Machinists and CNC tool-and-die professionals select this tool when surface finish and edge integrity matter across both roughing and finishing passes.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, expanding its application range to include slot milling, pocket milling, and profiling operations. The straight-cylindrical 3/8-inch shank is compatible with KENNAMETAL HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, as specified in the product data. The normal pitch and fixed helix design provide predictable chip evacuation in standard CNC machining center setups.
Compatible with KENNAMETAL HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores. Designed for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines using standard 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank toolholders. Intended for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per KENNAMETAL material codes P, M, K, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before inserting or removing the tool from its holder. Set tool length offset in the CNC controller before running the first pass. Confirm runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, particularly when working with hard or abrasive workpiece materials.
