The KENNAMETAL 6676379 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 5/16 inch (0.3125 inch) mill diameter, a 0.0150 inch corner radius, and four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, this end mill delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single tool. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 13/16 inch length of cut, it suits a wide range of setups where reach and rigidity must be balanced. Licensed machinists and tool and die professionals are the primary installers of this tooling.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, making it suitable for production and job-shop environments where a single cutter must handle multiple workpiece materials. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding versatility in pocketing and slot-milling operations. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 5/16 inch diameter is compatible with ER single angle standard collets and TT-SS toolholding systems, making it straightforward to integrate into existing setups on vertical or horizontal machining centers.
Compatible with ER single angle standard collets and TT-SS toolholding systems. Designed for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials in the KENNAMETAL H1TE series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer guidelines for runout and clamping torque. Ensure the spindle and toolholding system are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. This tool does not include coolant-through capability, so external coolant or air blast should be directed at the cutting zone to manage chip evacuation and heat. Confirm workpiece material and cutting parameters are matched to the AlTiN coating recommendations before initiating cuts in hard or abrasive materials.
