The KENNAMETAL 6676373 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding shop environments. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.09 inch corner radius, and four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, it delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single tool. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting hard or abrasive workpiece materials. The submicron carbide grade substrate adds toughness and edge retention at high feed rates. A 36-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Licensed HVAC techs, plumbers, and machinists working in high-production environments will find this tool calibrated for consistent results across steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where precision profiling, slotting, and contouring are required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry into the workpiece. The straight cylindrical shank at 1/4 inch diameter fits standard collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic toolholders including the HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeve series with inch bores and HC-CV Form AD holders. Material applications span steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials, making this a versatile tool across industries including aerospace, die and mold, and general machining.
Compatible with HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores and HC-CV Form AD toolholders. Fits any standard collet or shrink-fit system accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. Designed for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials per material codes P, M, K, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping specifications. Verify runout at the toolholder before machining to maintain dimensional accuracy and tool life. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill. Do not exceed the toolholder maximum speed rating or the recommended depth-of-cut parameters for the workpiece material being machined.
