The KENNAMETAL 6676360 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.25 inch cutting diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes, this single-end tool delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single pass. The AlTiN physical vapor deposition coating provides thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.5 inch length of cut, it fits standard short-reach applications where rigidity and tool life are the priority. Submicron carbide grade construction supports consistent edge integrity across extended run times.
This end mill is built for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is suited to CNC machining centers and milling machines in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard collet chucks and tool holders. Per the manufacturer specification, this tool is compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 Hydraulic Sleeves Inch with Inch Bores and HC 20M through HC 32M Hydraulic Sleeves Metric with Inch Bores. Normal pitch flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction support conventional and climb milling strategies.
Designed for use with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 Hydraulic Sleeves Inch with Inch Bores and HC 20M through HC 32M Hydraulic Sleeves Metric with Inch Bores, as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be stopped and the tool holder fully de-energized before inserting or removing the end mill. Ensure the shank is clean and fully seated in the collet or hydraulic chuck to the recommended gauge length before torquing the retention system. Verify runout with a dial indicator after tool insertion to prevent premature edge wear or chatter.
