The KENNAMETAL 6676348 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in ferrous and hard-material machining applications. Built to the H1TE series specification, it features a 0.01-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding cuts. With four flutes, a 36-degree helix angle, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating, this end mill handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. The 1/8-inch diameter and short flute geometry make it suited for tight-tolerance slots, pockets, and contour work where rigidity and edge integrity are critical. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shop and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is engineered for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its centercutting design allows direct plunge entry, making it effective for blind pockets and ramp entry operations. The straight-cylindrical shank seats in ER single-angle standard collets. With a 1/4-inch length of cut and 1-1/2-inch overall length, the tool is appropriate for shallow-depth applications where vibration control and surface finish consistency are priorities. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling setups.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut to the machine or toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly at this diameter, where even minor runout can cause premature tool failure.
