The KENNAMETAL 6676231 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built on the H1TE series platform, it features a 6 mm cutting diameter, a 1 mm corner radius, and a 9 mm length of cut. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. With four flutes, a 36-degree helix, and a right-hand cutting direction, this tool balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. It is a centercutting, single-end design suited for both roughing and finishing operations on CNC machining centers and milling machines.
This end mill is designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its extended reach configuration, with an 18 mm reach length and a reduced 5.64 mm neck diameter, makes it suitable for applications requiring access to deep pockets or stepped features without sacrificing rigidity. It is compatible with standard ER single-angle collets and is well-suited to high-speed, high-feed programs in production shop environments. The short flute-length-to-diameter ratio adds stability when taking aggressive radial cuts in difficult-to-machine alloys.
Compatible with ER single-angle standard collets. Designed for use on CNC milling machines and machining centers running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard material workpieces per ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank in a clean, properly sized ER collet and tighten to the collet nut manufacturer's specified torque range. Inspect the tool for runout after clamping before initiating the cut cycle. Follow the machine tool builder's guidelines and applicable shop safety protocols when loading or unloading cutting tools.
