The KENNAMETAL 6675698 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built to the H1TE series specification, it features a 5.00 mm cutting diameter, a 13.00 mm length of cut, and a 0.40 mm chamfer width at a 45-degree chamfer angle. The AlTiN PVD coating delivers elevated heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting hard and abrasive workpiece materials. With four flutes and a variable helix and variable index geometry, the tool reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation across both roughing and finishing passes. It is centercutting and handles a wide range of milling operations including shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. It is appropriate for CNC machining centers in both precision job shop and production environments where consistent edge quality and multi-operation capability are required. The straight-cylindrical shank and regular-length profile make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician with the spindle at a full stop and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the holder and torque the clamping mechanism per the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the chamfer edge and flute geometry visually before use and discard any tool showing chipping or coating delamination. Do not exceed the tool's designed depth of cut or radial engagement without confirming compatibility with the programmed feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material.
