The KENNAMETAL 6525750 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the KC522M manufacturer grade with a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) AlTiN coating. Designed for the LNGQ insert series, this rectangular insert features a positive rake geometry and a honed cutting edge style for reliable chip control across demanding milling applications. The insert measures 0.5118 inches in length and 0.5270 inches in width, with a thickness of 0.2500 inches and a corner radius of 0.0312 inches (1/32 inch). Four cutting edges extend tool life between index cycles. The GE chip breaker geometry supports consistent chip evacuation. The part weighs approximately 0.019 pounds and is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 5.
This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium across a range of cutting conditions. It is compatible with KENNAMETAL Mill 4-12 cutter series toolholders. The right-hand orientation and 90-degree included angle make it a direct fit for square-shoulder and general-purpose face milling operations in both production and job-shop environments. Machinists and tooling specialists working in aerospace, heavy industry, and general machining will encounter this insert in both CNC machining center and manual milling setups.
Designed for use with KENNAMETAL Mill 4-12 cutter series toolholders. ANSI and ISO code LNGQ120608ERGEKT4. Insert size code 120608. Compatible with ANSI and ISO standard insert pockets accepting the LNGQ series.
Installation is performed by trained machinists or tooling specialists with the machine powered down and spindle locked before insert indexing or replacement. Use the appropriate torx or hex key driver specified for the cutter body fastener and follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidance for insert screws. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp seat for chips or debris before seating the new insert. Verify corner radius and rake orientation match the cutter body requirements before resuming operation.
