The KENNAMETAL 6524735 is an indexable square-shoulder face mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built for the Mill 4-12 series, this cutter accepts five LNGQ 120608.R..KT4 inserts secured by clamp and screw holding, delivering stable, repeatable cutting performance. The 2-inch maximum cutting diameter and 0.4777-inch maximum depth of cut make it well suited for shoulder milling and face milling passes where tight wall angles are required. The cutter features a 0-degree lead angle and through-coolant capability via a 0.0787-inch coolant hole, supporting longer tool life and effective chip evacuation at the cutting zone. Weighing 1.85 pounds, it is a compact, rigid toolholder used by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
This face mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where a 3/4-inch arbor connection is available. With right-hand cutting direction and a 1.75-inch hub diameter, it fits standard arbor setups common in industrial production cells. The 5-flute configuration supports moderate feed rates and consistent surface finish on square-shoulder profiling operations. It is appropriate for applications in general manufacturing, aerospace component work, and precision fabrication shops requiring reliable square-shoulder geometry at a 2-inch diameter range.
Compatible with LNGQ 120608.R..KT4 inserts in the Kennametal KT4 cutter style. Designed for use with Mill 4-12 series tooling and fits machines equipped with a 3/4-inch arbor hole. Insert style code is LNGQ.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or changing inserts. Verify arbor and adapter interfaces are clean and free of debris before torquing the arbor connection. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and insert manufacturer guidelines for insert seating, clamp torque sequence, and recommended cutting parameters before full-production use.
