The KENNAMETAL 6370362 is a replaceable drill tip designed for use with modular drill systems that accept KTFST-series seat size V inserts. The tip is made from solid carbide with an AlCr (aluminum chromium) PVD coating and features a 140-degree point angle with a helical, regular-spiral flute configuration. Two flutes and four margins provide stable cutting geometry, while through-coolant capability allows direct coolant delivery to the cutting edge. At 0.6875 inches in diameter, this tip is suited for precise, repeatable hole-making in demanding materials. Installation is performed by licensed machinists and tooling specialists in production and job-shop environments.
The 6370362 is engineered primarily for drilling cast iron (ISO material code K, material grade K15). Its HPC insert geometry and coolant-through design make it well suited for applications involving inclined exits, cross-hole drilling, and stacked plates. The tip mounts via a clamp-style holding method in compatible KTFST modular drill bodies. At a functional length of 0.3438 inches and overall projection of 0.5021 inches, the tip is a compact, indexable cutting element that can be swapped at the machine without removing the drill body from the spindle.
Designed for use with KENNAMETAL KTFST-series modular drill bodies accepting seat size V replaceable tips. The ISO number for this tip is KTFST06875HPC. Verify seat size and series compatibility with the drill body before ordering.
Replaceable drill tips should be installed and indexed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians following the drill body manufacturer's torque and seating procedures. Disengage spindle power and lock out the machine before handling any cutting insert. Inspect the seat and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before seating the new tip. Through-coolant systems should be verified for proper pressure and flow after tip replacement to confirm the coolant ports are unobstructed.
