The KENNAMETAL 6172412 is a solid carbide milling insert in the EDPT series, designed for high-performance face and shoulder milling in demanding production environments. Carrying ISO code EDPT180564PDERGD and ANSI code EP1864E, this insert features a parallelogram shape with a positive rake angle of 15 degrees and a 15-degree relief angle. The GD chip breaker geometry is engineered to control chip flow and reduce cutting forces. A dual-layer PVD coating of TiAlN and TiN provides thermal resistance and edge wear protection.
