The KENNAMETAL 6172130 is a solid carbide milling insert identified by ISO code EDPT140412PDSRGD and manufactured to KCSM40 grade, designed for high-performance face and shoulder milling operations. This single-sided, right-hand parallelogram insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN plus TiN dual-layer coating that improves wear resistance and extends tool life in demanding cut conditions. With a positive rake angle of 15 degrees, a chamfered and honed cutting edge style, and a GD chip breaker geometry, it delivers controlled chip formation and reduced cutting forces.
