The KENNAMETAL 6113924 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance finishing in demanding materials. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 5 inch length of cut, and a 0.375 inch corner radius across 6 right-hand spiral flutes. The tool measures 8 inches overall length with a 1 inch shank diameter and uses a Safe-Lock shank interface to resist pullout under aggressive feed rates. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is single-end and center-cutting, classified as extra-long reach geometry in the UJDE series. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers.
This end mill is designed for finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials where corner integrity and surface finish are critical. The close-pitch, high-helix flute geometry suits deep-cavity profiling and long-reach finishing passes. It is compatible with hydraulic toolholding systems including HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A, and HC-CV Form AD holders in both inch and metric configurations. The Safe-Lock shank adds mechanical retention to the hydraulic grip for vibration-prone deep reaches.
Designed for use with HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A toolholders, and HC-CV Form AD toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician following the machine tool manufacturer torque and clamping procedures for hydraulic or Safe-Lock toolholders. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the CNC control is in an emergency-stop or tool-change-safe state before mounting or removing the tool. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as runout directly affects corner radius accuracy and tool life on finishing passes. Do not exceed the toolholder bore and projection specifications recommended by the holder manufacturer.
