The KENNAMETAL 6113840 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 0.12 inch corner radius, and a 4 inch length of cut, making it well suited for long-reach finishing operations where tool rigidity and edge integrity are critical. The AlTiN coating, applied via PVD process, provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-heat cutting environments. This is a single-end, centercutting tool built for right-hand cutting with a high-helix spiral flute configuration.
This end mill is intended for finishing operations in CNC machining centers running steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The long flute length and close pitch design support consistent chip control in deep-pocket and side-milling applications. It is compatible with Safe-Lock shank toolholding systems, as well as HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A, and HC-CV Form AD toolholders. Typical users are CNC machinists and toolroom operators in precision manufacturing environments.
Compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A, and HC-CV Form AD toolholders. Designed for use in Safe-Lock toolholding systems. Intended for primary workpiece materials coded P, M, S, and H: steel, stainless steel, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials. Part of the KENNAMETAL UJDE series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before installing or removing the tool. Use the appropriate Safe-Lock or hydraulic sleeve toolholder and torque to the toolholder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting to avoid premature edge wear or part rejection.
