The KENNAMETAL 6113831 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing in demanding metalworking applications. With a 1 inch cutting diameter, 6 flutes, and a 0.12 inch corner radius, this tool is built to produce tight-tolerance, fine-surface finishes on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and hard materials. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life under high cutting speeds. At 6.5 inches overall length with a 3.5 inch length of cut, it is suited for deep-reach finishing operations. The Safe-Lock shank design ensures secure clamping in compatible hydraulic toolholders. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, die-mold, and precision manufacturing are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is engineered for finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and hard materials in CNC milling applications. The close pitch, high helix, right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The centercutting design allows plunge entry where required. The long length type makes it a fit for deep-pocket and extended-reach milling scenarios that shorter reach tools cannot address.

Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Confirm the toolholder bore and Safe-Lock drive slot alignment before securing the shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before changing tooling. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping specifications for the specific hydraulic or mechanical holder in use.
