The KENNAMETAL 6113106 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for finishing operations in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 0.5-inch mill diameter, six flutes, and a 0.03-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and improves surface finish. The AlTiN physical vapor deposition coating provides high heat resistance and wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. With a 2-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length, this is a long-series tool intended for deeper cavity work and extended-reach finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is engineered for finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, as well as hard materials. It is suited for use in CNC machining centers with standard end mill toolholders. The high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation in tough materials, and the close pitch six-flute configuration supports fine surface finishes at appropriate feed rates. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry where required. The UJDE series is Kennametal's submicron carbide grade platform targeting high-performance material removal in P, M, S, and H workpiece material categories.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Intended for finishing steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Workpiece material codes P, M, S, and H as defined by the KENNAMETAL UJDE series material application classification.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify toolholder bore and collet size match the 0.5-inch shank diameter before clamping. Follow the machine tool builder and toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for drawbar and collet nut retention - do not overtighten, as this can damage the shank or affect runout.
