The KENNAMETAL 6113102 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding materials. With a 0.5-inch mill diameter, 6-flute geometry, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating, this tool is built for work in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The corner radius measures 0.12 inches, which reduces chipping at the cutting edge and extends tool life in tough applications. The high helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finish. It is single-end and centercutting, making it suitable for plunge entries and full-slot operations where required.
This end mill fits finishing operations in CNC machining centers across aerospace, toolroom, and general metalworking environments. The close pitch, 6-flute configuration is optimized for high material classes including P (steel), M (stainless steel), S (superalloys and titanium), and H (hard materials). The straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard end mill toolholders. The long-length profile with a 1.5-inch length of cut and 3.5-inch overall length suits deeper-reach finishing passes where stub-length tools cannot reach.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials: Steel (P), Stainless Steel (M), Superalloys and Titanium (S), and Hard Materials (H) per KENNAMETAL material classification. Part of the UJDE series.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a safe, locked-out state. Secure the shank in a precision end mill holder or collet chuck to the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping torque range. Inspect the shank and holder bore for contamination or burrs before assembly. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material class.
