The KENNAMETAL 6113090 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding metalworking applications. Built on the UJDE series platform, this single-end, centercutting tool features a 1/2-inch mill diameter, six flutes in a close-pitch spiral configuration, and a 0.09-inch corner radius that produces consistent edge breaks and reduces stress concentrations on finished surfaces. The AlTiN PVD coating provides excellent thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. With a high helix style and right-hand flute and cutting direction, the 6113090 is engineered for CNC machining centers running finish passes on difficult materials.
This end mill is intended for finishing cuts in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, as well as hard materials where tool stability and edge integrity are critical. The submicron carbide grade and AlTiN coating make it particularly well suited for high-speed finishing on aerospace, medical, mold-and-die, and precision machining work. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly in standard end mill toolholders. It is a long-length tool, with a 1.5-inch length of cut and 3.5-inch overall length, giving operators extended reach without sacrificing rigidity for light finishing depths.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Suitable for steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as defined by material codes P, M, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of debris before mounting to prevent runout. Confirm proper tool projection length and tighten to toolholder manufacturer specifications before spindle engagement. Follow machine tool safety lockout procedures whenever changing tooling on a CNC machining center.
