The KENNAMETAL 6113069 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding machining environments. Built to the UJDE series specification, it features a 0.5000-inch mill diameter, 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.0300-inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life on hardened and abrasive workpiece materials. The 6-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a close pitch and 38-degree high helix delivers smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation protection, making this end mill well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting in tough alloys. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This end mill is engineered for finishing cuts in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its short length type and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard end mill toolholders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, adding versatility for slotting and profiling operations. The submicron carbide grade provides the hardness and toughness balance needed when cutting high-strength and heat-resistant alloys at elevated speeds. It is a single-end tool with no chipbreaker and no coolant-through capability, so external coolant or minimum quantity lubrication should be applied at the spindle.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material groups P, M, S, and H).
This tool is installed and operated by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and within tolerance before seating the straight-cylindrical shank to prevent runout. Power down the spindle and confirm a full stop before tool changes. Since this end mill has no coolant-through capability, verify that external coolant or minimum quantity lubrication is directed at the cutting zone to manage heat in high-hardness workpiece materials.
