The KENNAMETAL 6072250 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill head designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built on the Duo-Lock 25 modular connection system, this head delivers rigid, repeatable tool changes without sacrificing rigidity or runout accuracy. The 1-inch diameter cutting head features 6 spiral flutes with a 0.060-inch corner radius, a right-hand cutting direction, and a right-hand flute orientation. The AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life when machining hardened steels, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Material grade KCSM15 is engineered for toughness and wear resistance in interrupted and continuous cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers and operators of this tool head.
This end mill head is suited for precision milling operations in both job shop and production environments. The Duo-Lock 25 interface makes it compatible with the Duo-Lock UJDV series modular tooling system, allowing quick head swaps on turning centers, machining centers, and multi-axis CNC platforms. The centercutting geometry supports plunge milling, ramping, and full-slot operations. It is commonly applied in aerospace, die and mold, and general metalworking applications where tight corner radii and surface finish quality are critical requirements.
Designed for use with Duo-Lock 25 modular toolholders in the Duo-Lock UJDV series. Verify Duo-Lock 25 interface sizing on the holder before installation.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC tooling technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or locked-out state. Use the appropriate Duo-Lock torque tool and follow the toolholder manufacturer interface procedure for seating and securing the head. Inspect the mating surfaces of both the head and holder for chips, debris, or damage before assembly. Do not use this head beyond its rated cutting diameter or with incompatible interface sizes.
