The KENNAMETAL 5990914 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for precision hole-making in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. It features a 135-degree split-point angle that reduces walking and cutting forces at entry, making it well suited for production environments where consistent hole quality matters. The drill measures 4.10 mm (0.1614 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 74.00 mm (2.9134 inches) and a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio. Coolant-through capability supports higher feed rates and improved chip evacuation in deep-hole applications. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for carbide tooling used on non-ferrous workpieces where coating adhesion is not required.
This drill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle equipment where tight tolerances and repeatable performance are required. It is suited for production drilling of aluminum, copper alloys, brass, and similar non-ferrous materials in industrial and job-shop settings.
