The KENNAMETAL 5981013 is an external indexable grooving and cutoff toolholder designed for precision groove turning on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built on the Beyond Evolution platform, this left-hand holder accepts EG0300M03P02 inserts secured by a clamp-style insert holding method. It produces a fixed 3 mm groove width with a maximum depth of cut of 26 mm (1.024 inches). The 3/4 x 3/4 inch (19.05 x 19.05 mm) square shank fits standard OD toolholder pockets on most CNC turning setups. Through-coolant capability delivers cutting fluid directly to the insert tip, extending tool life and improving chip evacuation on demanding materials.

This toolholder is suited for external grooving and parting-off operations in production turning environments.
