The KENNAMETAL 5980939 is an external indexable grooving and cutoff toolholder designed for precision groove machining on CNC lathes and turning centers. It accepts EG0300M03P02 inserts and holds them with a clamp-style mechanism for rigid, repeatable positioning. The toolholder features a 5/8 x 5/8 inch square shank and through-coolant capability to direct fluid directly to the cutting zone, improving chip evacuation and extending insert life. Part of the Beyond Evolution series, this left-hand holder is suited for operators running groove widths of 3 mm with a maximum depth of cut of 16 mm (0.63 inches).
