The KENNAMETAL 5964121 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill in the KSEM series, designed for high-productivity hole-making in metalworking applications. The drill tip carries the ISO designation KSEM0750SPL and features a 3/4 inch (0.7500 inch) cutting diameter with a 140-degree drill point angle. The AlTiN (TiAlN) coating is applied via PVD process, providing thermal resistance and wear protection in demanding cutting conditions. With a helical flute design and 4-margin geometry, the tip seats securely using a clamp-style insert holding method and mounts in compatible KSEM insert seat size 2 drill bodies. This part is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC milling and drilling operations.
This replaceable tip drill is suited for drilling operations in steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium, covering ISO material codes P, M, N, and S. Application support includes standard drilling, stacked plate drilling, and inclined exit drilling scenarios. The KSEM platform is commonly used in production machining environments where repeated tip changes are required without replacing the full drill body. The fine grain carbide substrate and KCMS35 manufacturer grade are selected for toughness and edge retention in these material groups.
Designed for use with KSEM series drill bodies accepting insert seat size 2. Compatible primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium (ISO codes P, M, N, S).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with replaceable tip drill systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before seating or removing the drill tip. The tip is secured via the clamp-style holding method; use the appropriate torque driver or key as specified by the KSEM body manufacturer documentation. Verify tip seating and clamp engagement before initiating any cutting cycle.
