The KENNAMETAL 5941725 is a double-end neutral indexable cutoff blade from the Beyond Evolution series, designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The blade measures 32 millimeters in height, 2 millimeters in width, and 150 millimeters overall length. It accepts EVBS-style inserts with a 2 mm insert width and an EG0300M03P02 insert style, secured by a clamp-type holding method. With a cutting height of 25.1 millimeters, it is suited for moderate-depth grooving and cutoff work in production turning environments. Machinists and toolroom technicians working with indexable tooling systems select this blade for its dimensional precision and compatibility with the Beyond Evolution insert platform.
This cutoff blade is intended for use in industrial turning applications where precise groove width and repeatable cutoff depth are required. It fits into standard EVBS-style blade holders and is appropriate for both production shops and job shops running ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The neutral cutting direction makes it adaptable to both right-hand and left-hand turning configurations depending on holder orientation. It is a single-piece replacement blade sold individually.
Designed for use with EVBS-style blade holders accepting a 32 mm blade height and 2 mm blade width, and compatible with EG0300M03P02 series inserts at 2 mm insert width within the Beyond Evolution tooling platform.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine powered down and all motion stopped before blade exchange. Verify that the blade holder bore and clamping surfaces are clean and free of chips before seating the blade. Torque clamping screws according to the holder manufacturer specifications, and confirm insert seating and blade protrusion before resuming cutting operations. Always follow applicable shop safety protocols when handling indexable tooling components.
