The KENNAMETAL 5824335 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill engineered for precision material removal in demanding machining environments. Built on the 4CH series platform with a TiN/TiAlN PVD coating designated KC633M, this tool delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of workpiece materials. The cutter measures 0.125 inches in diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut, a 0.010-inch chamfer width at a 45-degree chamfer angle, and a 30-degree medium helix. Four right-hand flutes with a normal pitch support both roughing and finishing operations. Centercutting geometry enables plunging and helical interpolation entries without a pre-drilled hole.
This end mill is suited for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down milling, helical interpolation, drill-mill operations, and plunging and recessing on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and edge quality are required. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank at 0.125 inches diameter fits standard collet systems in both production and job-shop settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production cutting tool compatible with workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. KENNAMETAL catalog reference number 4CH0125IL075A.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet is de-energized before inserting or removing the cutter. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder matched to the 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank and torque to the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as runout errors are amplified at small diameters and can cause premature tool failure.
