Carrying the KCP10B manufacturer grade, this insert is designed for negative-rake turning operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. It features a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, a 1/32 inch corner radius, and a 90-degree square geometry. The cutting edge is honed for consistent performance across roughing and semi-finishing passes. Eight available cutting edges per insert maximize tool life and reduce per-edge cost. This insert is suited for machinists and tooling specialists working in production turning environments.
This insert is intended for turning, facing, and boring applications. It performs on primary workpiece materials including steel and cast iron, corresponding to ISO material codes P and K. The KENLOC series designation indicates compatibility with KENNAMETAL KENLOC-style toolholders that accept SNMG-geometry inserts with clamp and pin holding methods. The neutral hand orientation makes it usable in both left-hand and right-hand toolholder configurations.
