The KENNAMETAL 5591973 is a solid carbide turning insert in the KENLOC series, designated by ANSI code CNMG643RN and ISO code CNMG190612RN. It features a multilayer CVD coating — TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 — applied via MTCVD process, giving it strong wear resistance and toughness across a range of cutting conditions. The insert carries an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a neutral hand orientation and a negative rake and side clearance. With four usable cutting edges and a chamfered and honed edge style, this insert is suited for roughing and medium machining operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces.
