The KENNAMETAL 5591773 is a solid carbide turning insert with an ANSI insert code of CNMG431MN and an ISO code of CNMG120404MN. It carries the KCP40B manufacturer grade and uses a multilayer CVD coating of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied through the MTCVD process. The insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a neutral hand, and a negative rake and clearance geometry. With 4 cutting edges and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style, it is suited to the demands of roughing and medium machining operations on steel and stainless steel. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install this insert in KENLOC-compatible toolholders.
