The KENNAMETAL 5568064 is a replaceable drill tip engineered for high-performance drilling applications in metalworking and machining environments. Built from solid carbide with a submicron material grade, this tip carries a TiAlN/TiN PVD coating that extends tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. It measures 1.0000 inch (25.40 mm) in cutting diameter with a functional length of 1.2500 inches. The through-coolant design channels fluid directly to the cutting zone, controlling heat and evacuating chips more effectively than external coolant delivery. Seat size 25 and screw-on holding method provide repeatable, rigid indexing at the spindle. Installation and changeover are performed by machining professionals in production or job-shop environments.
This replaceable drill tip is designed for use in the KENNAMETAL ST-HSK series tooling system. It supports multiple machining operations including face milling, slotting with a square end, side milling, and shoulder milling, as well as screw-on shank configurations with through-coolant capability. Workpiece material compatibility spans ISO material groups P (steel), M (stainless steel), K (cast iron), N (non-ferrous), S (superalloys), and H (hardened materials), making it suitable for diverse production machining applications in both light and heavy manufacturing settings.
Designed for use with KENNAMETAL ST-HSK series drill bodies requiring seat size 25 replaceable tips. Compatible workpiece materials include ISO groups P, M, K, N, S, and H as designated by the manufacturer.
Replaceable drill tips of this type are installed and serviced by machinists or tooling technicians using the appropriate screw-on torque driver specified by the tooling body manufacturer. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing the tip. Confirm the insert seat is clean and free of chips or debris before seating the new tip to ensure proper contact and runout. Through-coolant systems should be verified for correct pressure and flow after tip replacement.
