It carries an 80-degree diamond shape with a neutral hand orientation, a 3/64-inch corner radius, and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style. The insert is rated for negative rake with a 5-degree rake angle and zero-degree relief angle. It is designed for general turning, facing, and boring operations on steel and cast iron and is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians on CNC turning centers and manual lathes.
