Manufactured from solid carbide with a multilayer MTCVD coating sequence of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiOCN under the KCP10B grade designation, this insert delivers thermal resistance and edge stability across moderate to high cutting speeds. The 80-degree diamond shape provides a strong cutting geometry, while the MF chip breaker and chamfered-and-honed cutting edge style make it well-suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes. Two usable cutting edges per insert and screw-on holding method keep tooling costs manageable in production environments. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and accurate tool-nose radius positioning.
