The KENNAMETAL 5357002 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built to the UADE series standard, this single-end mill features a 16 mm cutting diameter, a 31.98 mm length of cut, and four helical flutes with a 38-degree helix angle. The tool is finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating, which improves heat resistance and extends tool life when cutting hard and abrasive workpiece materials. It is centercutting and supports both roughing and finishing operations. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and general metalworking facilities are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down entry, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations. The 0.50 mm chamfer width at a 45-degree chamfer angle allows it to break edges and blend corner geometry in a single pass. The 100 mm reach length and 15 mm neck diameter make it capable of extended-reach operations without sacrificing rigidity. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The straight-cylindrical shank and normal pitch flute geometry support stable clamping in standard ER or hydraulic toolholders.
The KENNAMETAL 5357002 is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per ISO material group codes P, M, K, S, and H. It is cataloged under KENNAMETAL series UADE with manufacturers catalog number UADE1600A4AL. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard 16 mm bore toolholders including ER collet chucks and hydraulic chucks.
This tool is installed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians on milling machines or machining centers. Always ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Confirm shank runout is within tolerance after clamping, as the specified shank diameter tolerance is +0.000 to -0.011 mm. Observe machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards for speeds, feeds, and coolant strategy when cutting superalloys or hardened steels.
