The KENNAMETAL 5351904 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. It carries a 3/4-inch mill diameter, a 0.03-inch corner radius, and six flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a high helix angle of 38 degrees. The AlTiN PVD coating provides oxidation resistance and thermal hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. With a 1.625-inch length of cut and a 4-inch overall length, this tool suits deep-cavity finishing passes where tool deflection and edge wear are primary concerns. The Safe-Lock shank design resists pullout under aggressive feed conditions.
This end mill is intended for finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and hard materials. It is used in CNC machining centers running close-pitch toolpaths on mold cavities, aerospace components, and precision mechanical parts. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry where required. Compatible toolholders include HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A holders, and Hydraulic Chuck Standard Line Inch KM63XMZ. Its 3/4-inch shank diameter fits standard collet and hydraulic chuck assemblies in that bore range.
Designed for use with HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A holders, and Hydraulic Chuck Standard Line Inch KM63XMZ. Part of the KENNAMETAL UJDE series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool carousel must be in a safe state before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Verify that the Safe-Lock drive keys in the holder align with the shank flats before torquing the clamping screws to the holder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before production cutting to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
