The KENNAMETAL 5351902 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding material removal and finishing operations in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It carries a 3/4-inch cutting diameter with a 0.12-inch corner radius, six flutes in a close-pitch arrangement, and a high-helix spiral flute geometry. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. At 4 inches overall length with a 1.625-inch length of cut, this is a single-end, centercutting tool from the UJDE series built for CNC machining centers running high-performance toolpaths.
This end mill is suited for finishing passes in ISO material groups P, M, S, and H — covering carbon and alloy steels, stainless steels, nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, and hardened materials. It is designed for use in hydraulic toolholders, specifically compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A holders. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. Material grade is submicron carbide substrate for added edge toughness at high surface speeds.
Compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholders. Intended for ISO material groups P, M, S, and H: steel, stainless steel, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician on a CNC machining center. Seat the 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank fully into the toolholder before clamping to the specified holder torque requirements. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cutting, as runout directly affects corner radius accuracy and edge life on this class of tool. Do not exceed the tool overhang length required for the operation, as extended reach reduces rigidity and increases chatter risk.
