The KENNAMETAL 5351839 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Built to the UJDE series specification, it features a 3/4-inch mill diameter, a 0.06-inch corner radius, and six flutes with a high-helix, right-hand spiral geometry. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation stability at elevated cutting temperatures. At 4 inches overall length with a 1-1/2-inch length of cut, this tool is engineered for finishing-class material removal. It is center-cutting and configured for right-hand cutting direction with a close pitch flute arrangement and a straight-cylindrical shank.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces as well as superalloys and titanium in applications where edge integrity and surface finish are critical. The short length type and six-flute configuration support rigidity and chip management in finishing passes. It is compatible with HC hydraulic sleeve toolholders in both inch and metric configurations, including HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A systems.
Designed for use with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholding systems. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, S, H).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before mounting or removing the end mill. Use the appropriate torque and clamping procedure specified by the toolholder manufacturer when seating the straight-cylindrical shank in a hydraulic or collet chuck. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cutting operation, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on multi-flute carbide tools.
