The KENNAMETAL 5351838 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance finishing in demanding materials. With a 3/4 inch mill diameter, 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius, this single-end, centercutting tool delivers controlled edge engagement and reduced stress concentration at the cutting edge. The 6-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finish. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures, making this tool well suited for aggressive feeds in ferrous and exotic alloys. Overall length is 4 inches with a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This end mill is designed for finishing operations in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, as well as hard materials. The short length type and close pitch flute configuration prioritize rigidity and surface finish quality over extended reach. It is compatible with hydraulic toolholders including HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A holders. Typical applications include profile milling, contour finishing, and floor finishing passes on CNC machining centers in job shop, aerospace, medical, and die-mold environments.
Compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholders. Intended for use in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, S, H).
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians with the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state. Verify shank diameter tolerance and holder bore condition before seating; the shank tolerance on this tool is +0.00000/-0.00051 inches. Secure the tool to the specified torque for the holder manufacturer and confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the target workpiece material grade.
