The KENNAMETAL 5351819 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing in demanding metalworking applications. With a 0.5 inch mill diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and six flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral, this tool delivers smooth surface finishes and extended tool life in materials that punish lesser tooling. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides heat resistance and hardness at the cutting edge, making it well-suited for dry or semi-dry machining. Close pitch and a high helix style contribute to efficient chip evacuation and reduced chatter during finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production shops will recognize this as a purpose-built finishing tool for tight-tolerance work.
This end mill is engineered for finishing cuts in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, as well as other hard materials. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding flexibility in complex setups. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard end mill toolholders, making it compatible with the widest range of spindle setups in both vertical and horizontal machining centers. It carries a standard length designation with a 1.25 inch length of cut and a 3 inch overall length, positioning it for general-purpose finishing work where reach and rigidity are balanced.
