The KENNAMETAL 5090685 is a solid carbide turning insert in the DNMG332MS geometry, grade KCU10, finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating. It carries a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a negative rake and side clearance configuration. The insert measures 0.9156 inches in length with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, a 3/16-inch thickness, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. Four cutting edges are available per insert. The MS chip breaker geometry is optimized for roughing and medium machining operations. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install this insert in KENLOC-compatible toolholders for high-productivity material removal.

This insert is suited for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium.
