This insert carries the DFTHP designation, indicating a trigon (84-degree included angle) shape with an HP chipbreaker geometry engineered to manage chip flow under high-feed drilling conditions. The KCU25 grade features a PVD-applied AlTiN coating, which provides thermal resistance and wear protection during ferrous and non-ferrous metal drilling. With a 10 mm (0.3937 inch) inscribed circle and a 1/32 inch corner radius, this insert is sized for precision fitment in compatible drill bodies. Installation and tool management are handled by machinists and CNC tooling specialists in production and job shop environments.
This insert is suited for indexable drill assemblies used in vertical machining centers, CNC lathes with live tooling, and dedicated drilling machines in both production and job shop settings.
