The KENNAMETAL 5067475 is a solid carbide indexable drill insert designed for use in indexable drilling operations on CNC machining centers and drill presses. Carrying the KCU25 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied AlTiN coating, this insert delivers hardness and heat resistance suited to drilling steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous materials at elevated cutting speeds. The insert features a Trigon (84-degree included angle) geometry with a GD chipbreaker and a neutral hand orientation. The inscribed circle measures 10 mm (0.3937 inches), and the corner radius is 0.0313 inches (0.79 mm). It is installed and serviced by machinists and toolroom technicians working with modular drill body systems.
This insert is suited to production drilling applications in aerospace, general machining, and job-shop environments where consistent hole quality and tool life are priorities. The DFT insert style and GD chipbreaker work together to manage chip formation in interrupted and continuous cuts. The insert size designation is 06T308, making it a direct fit for compatible KENNAMETAL indexable drill bodies accepting that insert seat size. Minimum order quantity is 5 pieces; each package contains 1 insert.
Designed as a replacement indexable drill insert for KENNAMETAL indexable drill bodies accepting the DFT insert style in size 06T308 with a 4.4 mm hole diameter seat. Confirm seat geometry and insert style against the drill body documentation before ordering.
Indexable drill inserts are installed by machinists following the drill body manufacturer's torque and seating procedures - refer to the drill body documentation for the correct torque wrench and insert screw specifications. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before seating the new insert. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid edge chipping prior to use.
