The KENNAMETAL 5059747 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill head from the HARVI UGDE series, designed for high-performance milling in demanding production environments. With a 3/4 inch cutting diameter and 3-3/4 inch length of cut, this five-flute, single-end tool features an AlTiN coating and a 43-degree helix angle optimized for aggressive material removal and heat resistance. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting geometry suit modern CNC milling centers. Machinists and tooling specialists handling production runs in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium rely on this grade KC643M tool for consistent performance in difficult-to-machine materials.
This end mill head is suited for roughing and finishing operations in both horizontal and vertical machining centers where extended reach and high heat are not required. Its regular length profile and straight shank make it compatible with standard 3/4 inch toolholders. The AlTiN coating provides strong oxidation resistance, making it particularly effective when cutting ferrous and exotic alloys at elevated surface speeds without coolant through the tool. It is a practical choice for job shops and high-volume production cells running ISO P, M, and K workpiece materials.
Designed for use with standard 3/4 inch straight-shank toolholders on CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines. Intended for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium per ISO material classifications P, M, and K.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before mounting or removing the end mill head. Seat the straight shank fully in a clean, properly torqued toolholder to the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use, particularly after runs in superalloys or hardened steel.
