The KENNAMETAL 5058615 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-accuracy milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1-3/4 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle, this two-flute tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and edge retention suited to demanding cutting conditions. It is single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute, and centercutting, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC programmers in production shops, tool rooms, and job shops.
The 5058615 is built for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Its 3/8 inch shank diameter matches standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in these setups. The 4 inch overall length provides reach for applications where standard-length tooling falls short, and the extra-long length classification makes it suitable for deeper pocket work where clearance is needed. The bright uncoated finish is typical for applications where coating is not required or where regrinding is anticipated.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 3/8 inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit holders used on CNC vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and manual milling machines in the KENNAMETAL AADF series.
This end mill is installed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the holder per the holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tools are brittle and should not be used if edge damage is present.
