The KENNAMETAL 5052003 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. The tool features a 0.5-inch mill diameter, a 3-inch length of cut, and a 0.03-inch corner radius that provides edge strength and reduces chipping at the cutting corners. With 3 flutes and a high-helix spiral geometry, it promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. This is an extra-long series tool in the AADE lineup, built for deep-cavity and extended-reach milling operations performed by machinists and CNC operators.
This end mill is suited for roughing operations in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper alloys, and similar materials. The extra-long 5-inch overall length and 3-inch length of cut make it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, slotting, and peripheral cutting where standard-length tools cannot reach. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. It is intended for use with standard end mill toolholders and is compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with the appropriate collet or milling chuck. The coarse pitch and right-hand flute direction are well matched to the feed and speed parameters typical of non-ferrous roughing work.

Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Verify runout and tool projection before cutting, as excessive runout in an extra-long tool will accelerate wear and risk breakage. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's torque specifications for the specific collet or chuck system in use.
