The KENNAMETAL 5051942 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal fabrication and machining applications. Built to AADE series standards, it features a 7/16 inch cutting diameter, a 7/8 inch length of cut, and a 37-degree helix angle with three right-hand spiral flutes. The micrograin carbide construction provides edge strength and wear resistance at demanding feed rates. The bright uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals and applications where coating buildup is a concern. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in vertical and horizontal milling setups.
This end mill fits standard 7/16 inch tool holders and collet chucks. The single-end, centercutting design allows both peripheral and plunge cuts, making it versatile for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling. With a 2-1/2 inch overall length and regular-length designation, it is appropriate for general-purpose milling tasks where extended reach is not required. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration matches conventional spindle rotation on most CNC and manual milling machines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for standard 7/16 inch collet and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Ensure the collet or holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the specified engagement depth. Follow machine manufacturer torque specifications for collet nut tightening and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut.
